ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and pre-safari stay
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a member of our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. In the afternoon or evening, your safari guide will meet you for a detailed safari briefing.
Accommodation: Sanna Eco Lodge (Classic) or Rivertrees Country Inn (Luxury)
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After an early morning departure from Arusha, your driver-guide will pick you up and take you on a scenic journey toward Tarangire National Park. Once inside the gates, your full day of game viewing begins — from elephants and lions to countless birds and grazing herds. In the late afternoon, you’ll make your way to your lodge or camp.
Accommodation: Migombani Campsite (Classic) or Manyara Best View (luxury)
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater and drive to Ndutu
After an early morning departure from Mto wa Mbu, your driver-guide takes you up toward the Ngorongoro Crater. At the rim, you’ll enjoy a stunning view before descending into the crater for a safari among its dense wildlife. In the early afternoon, you’ll leave the crater and continue across the highlands toward the Nutu area. Set in the Ndutu area, the heart of the Great Migration during calving season.
Accommodation: Kon Tiki Ndutu Camp (Classic) or Lake Masek tented camp (Luxury)
Day 4: Ndutu area
You set out early for a full day of game viewing in the Ndutu area, at the heart of the calving season. As vast herds of wildebeest gather on the open plains to give birth, predators are never far away, creating intense and dramatic wildlife encounters throughout the day.
Accommodation: Kon Tiki Ndutu Camp (Classic) or Lake Masek tented camp (Luxury)
Day 5: Ndutu and post-safari stay
After your final morning in the Ndutu area, begin the journey back to Arusha. Along the way, enjoy a last chance to spot wildlife and take in the changing landscapes. In the late afternoon, arrive at your lodge in Arusha for an overnight post-safari stay and a relaxing evening.
Accommodation: Migombani camp (Classic) or Manyara Best View (Luxury)
Day 6: Departure or extend your stay
After a final breakfast at your campsite or lodge, your safari draws to a close. You’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport — or continue your journey with a tropical escape to Zanzibar. However you choose to travel on, the memories of Tanzania’s remarkable wildlife will stay with you long after you leave.
